Navodit: I4S is a combination of 1 (I) & 4 (S) – it stands for Intelligence | Supervision | safety | Security | Surveillance. As the name implies, we are in the Low Voltage industry, which includes the mandatory compliance of the building such as FAS, PA, ACS, Surveillance, Data center compliance, AV, Rodent, Boom Barrier, Tripods, DFMD, Baggage scanner, and many more before going live of their corporate spaces.
Now, if I talk about the vision of the company, we are working to be a leading solution provider in Physical Security & Surveillance industry. Our vision is to achieve customer satisfaction, quality, and continuous profitable growth, thereby becoming a trusted partner of choice for every customer for all their Physical Security service needs. And if I throw some light on the mission of the company, we shall deliver quality services to every customer, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction through excellence in execution and delivery.

EXPLAIN THE TRANSFORMATION YOU WITNESS IN THE INDUSTRY SINCE ITS INCEPTION?
Navodit: Sure! I think you can get a fair idea from my Blog (that’s there on our website) – where I have
mentioned my entrepreneurial journey from an Engineer to an Entrepreneur. I am 34-Year-old and a true witness to the journey of this organization from zero to multi-crore in just 2 years and the credit goes to our clients & entire I4S Team. As an experienced entrepreneur, I am running startups from the year 2016. So far, I have completed 6.5 years in my entrepreneurship career & I4S would be mine 3rd Successful Venture, and one thing I could realize is that if you wanted to be a successful entrepreneur, your decision-making ability and your temperament should be as best as possible. Now, if I talk about the transformation in the industry so far, I could say people in India and Govt., have understood the importance of startups and they are playing an important role to maintain the GDP of India. A successful startup doesn’t need anything apart from the depth of market knowledge and creative ideas to start with (The same we did 2 years ago while creating I4S).

BCM: PLEASE EXPLAIN THE PRIME USPS OF OUR ORGANIZATION. WHAT DIFFERENTIATES YOU FROM YOUR OTHER COMPETITORS?
Navodit: One of the prime USPs is our approach toward R&D. I strongly believe that the importance of R&D depends upon business to business. At I4S, we are focused on getting our project engineers certified in various technologies like Vanderbilt, HID, Honeywell, Matrix, Hik vision, and many more so that we can understand and provide the best-suited solution to our clients. Secondly, if I talk about the Marketing strategies in the company, our maximum business happened via references. Wherever we have done or executed the projects, we usually get referred by our clients. Moreover, we get good leads from the brands, which we are selling like Honeywell, and Hik vision, and recently we have been awarded by a few of the OEMs as well. In the LV industry, there are very limited solution partners, who have a team and certified Engineers so they become our strength to play and grow in this industry. Lastly, I strongly believe that our organizational culture is a great ingredient in our success recipe. We have a healthy work culture at I4S. Being in the service industry, we are entitled to serve our clients 247365. We are taking our team for onsite visits so that they can get more closure to the organization and they understand the values of the company. We organize regular training for our employees and workshop for them for getting
them trained in the technology.

BCM: WHAT ARE THE MILESTONES THE COMPANY HAS OVERCOME SO FAR?
Navodit: At present, we are a multi-crore company that recently touched the 20 crore mark in just 2 years. We started this venture during the worst timing of COVID in the year 2020, and by God’s grace and the best efforts of our team, we have reached double-digit organization in 2022. I4S young and enthusiastic team – take this as A positive gesture- Like Companies were doing lay off in 2020 or may deducting the salaries – whereas I4S not only even paying the full salary to appreciate the efforts of the team, we were giving them regular quarterly incentives too. Our objective is to push people to focus on “Do More & Earn More”. We have recently received an award from our technology partners and lots of clients’ appreciation for doing the best work and handing over the projects on time that keep our morale boosted.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SUGGEST TO THEM?
Navodit: To become an entrepreneur, we don’t need any major investment. We just need ideas and market knowledge, and if our business is subjective to clients, then we should understand their pain areas and come out with some remedy as a business proposal to them. That’s all about running a company! Your Math should be good and if it’s bad – then please hire someone who can calculate the risk for you and take their consent before moving forward.

Managing Cash Flow is one of the important keys for startups’

As A Solution Partner – When we had started our journey, I could sense if we have to manage the Business – So cash Flow is going to play an important role in our Way Forward. As a Startup’s Getting anything on credit became a Herculean Task, As Market or the credit controller of any company doesn’t allow anything without Reviewing the Paper’s / Bank Details or Bank Statement/ Balance Sheet. Well Just Paying from Pocket doesn’t take an organization to another level, So the startups have to be really agile & Calculated for picking up those deals initially where they can get the Payment on time & Returned to the market/ Distributors / Partners in stipulated time. Just Picking up the deal’s for generating Revenue can be good only in the condition if you have to prepare yourself to be the Qualifier for any Special Bid of Government/PSU’s but that too shouldn’t be on the cost of Late Payments as It May Harm your Payment cycle. On the Other Side, corporate clients don’t Follow Any such criteria. They Need professional Partner’s to work for them & that Service shouldn’t be outsourced to any Third Party.

Before looking up the journey of any SME/MNC, it really needs to understand the fact behind their success or failure. Before launching AIS As a Client Trusted Partner in the Market, we have done the Market study & took a deep understanding of the Client’s expectation, as we really wanted to get succeed or what could be the chances of Failure’s in our case. An Engineer to An Entrepreneur :: ( LOVE WHAT YOU DO )

This Story Begins Since year 2005 – when Like Any other Boy of Middle Class Family , I have been told to do an Engineering that too with a Booming Field Computer Science. So I got 2653 All India Rank in CET And Finally Joined An Engineering College with an Excitement that I am going to the first kid in our entire joint Family who will become an Certified Engineer. I spent my 4 golden years out there and could find one thing that An Student Who did his schooling from DPS – had a Better Knowledge of computer or Language’s than I have got it post completion of my B.Tech. Well !! Since I am studious So I got passed Exactly in 4 years of my Engineering @ 2009 !! And Look Here I entered in Recession – All IT companies have been firing like anything & I Started searching out for a Job with 10% Knowledge over Computer / IT. With Lack of Communication Skills ( Courtesy I have been passed out from UP Board ) but Yes with One confidence that I kept it inside “ I Will Do IT “ . So Journey begins and Finally Here comes my First Interview of Life _ {Mahindra Satyam } – Since I was studious , So I have cleared all the Aptitude test in one go and here I Come with my Final Round – Technical Skills – As I have mentioned on the Top – I have started searching out for job with 10% Computer Knowledge , So Eventually I have been insulted by the interviewer like anything – He had asked so many question and I couldn’t give any Satisfactory Answer – However All Attempted Positively J. So Finally As expected with Hard heart I got rejected in my first Interview & sent back to my college Again. But that first Failure of my Life had given me an lesson that I had to prepare myself else I won’t get placed anywhere , Now the degree is in hand but what I’ll do with this piece of Paper except clearing out my Shit one day !

So Here I started preparing myself for my 2^nd Attempt – As an preparation – I started Shouting in front of mirror Every day to get ready with that first tricky Question – Tell me About yourself ? Everyday 15 min Rehearsal on the same topic and here it goes my 2^nd interview at HCL TECH !! And the first statement quoted by the interviewer had given me a token of Astonishment – Navodit I am not interested to know about yourself – Lets come to the point straight ? Post this I felt like cheated ?? Oops it wasn’t expected. Well like any other Needy Boy I have smiled and asked Sir please tell me. He said ok tell me your hobbies Navodit ? Now it’s like out of syllabus topic Again for me since I wasn’t prepared for this , Well I didn’t left with any choice Now. And that I took my palm wrote RAM on it with my other finger only and tightly closed by fist. Post 45 min of the discussion and interviewer Said Congratulation Navodit and welcome to HCL. It’s like.. My RAM workout today !! So the lesson I got – Navodit – Ratta won’t work – you should be confident and get yourself ready to face everything.

NOW Here at HCL Tech – I have joined as An DBA Engineer ( Management trainee ) and seriously started hating my self-sitting in front of Computer for the whole day and doing programming and data entry stuff. One Day I had gone to my boss Mr. Rajeev Mishra and asked Sir – I am getting bored of it , He laughed & Said what do you think you can do better – I said I like talking people making PR & gossiping J J !! He Said I have noticed you from Day 1 – I guess you should do MBA Now ?? Since My father is an PCS So believe me I didn’t took much time to think how ill be able to pay Huge Fee’s for MBA colleges – Thats is only thing which went well Since I took a birth – I said yes “ You are right – Let me try this “ Hope it works-out !! So Finally I have decided to do an MBA Which didn’t give me anything Except helping me to come out from my Stage Fear- Now I become an Known Anchor of my college/ University & Even one day I have shared the stage with “ Ayushman Khurana as well “

So Post 2 years – Completion of my MBA- I could find myself at right place and in right profession. Here I have cracked my all interview’s & Decided to Opt Marketing and Sales. Now I had worked with most of the MNC’s like TATA/ HCL/ MSSL & in year 2014 I have decided to become and entrepreneur – Started and Build-Up 3 organization’s & Now I have a habit to perform !!

The Moral of the story – Understand your strength / Don’t compromise on your profession ever & Love what you do !!
